Los videojuegos... ¿amigos o enemigos?

En esta sesión del Foro Familias hablamos de temas importantes como los que se exponen a continuación:

• Los profesores tenemos un papel fundamental por el tiempo que pasamos con el alumnado.
• Antes los videojuegos eran de clase media - alta. Ahora el mundo "gaming" se ha generalizado a todas las clases y rangos de edad. Esto conlleva unos riesgos muy altos.
• Ahora los límites los ponemos nosotros. Ha pasado de ser una actividad solitaria a otra de socialización.
• Gamer: persona que dedica un tiempo aproximado de 6 horas diarias a jugar y/o formarse. 
• Clasificación de los jugadores: Gamer, casual y jugador común.
• Noob: juega poco, de vez en cuando, con pocas habilidades...; casual: esporádicamente termina el juego. 
• La mayoría de los juegos se miden en escalas o ligas. Es una cuestión de cómo se hace uno bueno en videojuegos ¿por esfuerzo o tiempo dedicado? 
• Tres consejos a la hora de elegir un videojuego: descriptores de contenido, elementos interactivos y categorías de clasificación.
• El Fortnite es uno de los juegos con mayor controversia en los últimos tiempos. Es altamente adictivo por el componente de las recompensas.

In the footsteps of Ana and Mía

 The coordinator explained that this activity is part of two important projects of the school. One of them is our Erasmus project "Cybersecurity Schools". Throughout the year and on a monthly basis we will carry out training activities with our families. Below we share the presentation.

Con esta foto clausuramos las sesiones de formación a las familias de este curso académico. La ponencia ha sido impartida por Mónica Millán Mínguez, coordinadora de programas preventivos de la Fundación de Ayuda contra la Drogadicción de Extremadura. La sesión ha versado sobre la Familia ante los videojuegos y se han dado respuestas a cuestiones como el uso correcto de los videojuegos, si son o no adecuados, estrategias que deberíamos aprender y otras muchas cuestiones que hacen que en ocaciones vivamos este empleo de tiempo libre con angustia.

Nueva formación: La familia ante los videojuegos

El martes 4 de mayo, a las 17 horas tendremos nueva formación para familiares y miembros de la comunidad educativa. La formación lleva por título: "La familia ante los videojuegos - Estrategias para afrontar esta forma de ocio". Nos acercaremos al mundo de los videojuegos desde la perspectiva de la familia y de los jugadores para darnos seguridad a la hora de ejercer nuestro papel como agentes preventivos.

Mónica Millán Mínguez, Coordinadora de programas preventivos de la Fundación de ayuda contra la drogadicción, tratará de dar respuesta a estas y otras cuestiones que hacen que en ocasiones vivamos ese empleo de tiempo libre con angustia.

Nos formamos en Igualdad

El lunes 22 de marzo tuvimos sesión de formación con familiares en el marco de nuestros proyectos Erasmus+ KA229 "Cybersecurity Schools" y Foro Nativos Digitales. Nos formamos en igualdad analizando los aspectos negativos de las redes sociales. Tuvimos la suerte de contar con una ponente de lujo como Esmeralda Pizarro Béjar, técnica en atención a personas en situación de dependencia, y técnica en Igualdad de Género.

Esmeralda nos compartió los siguientes materiales que ponemos a disposición de nuestra comunidad educativa:

Training for families: Gender-based violence and social networks

El lunes 22 de marzo, a las 17 horas, tendremos nueva sesión del Foro Nativos Digitales Familias. Contaremos con Esmeralda Pizarro Bejar que nos formará sobre el problema de la violencia de género en las redes sociales. Es una actividad contemplada en nuestro Proyecto Erasmus KA229 "Cybersecurity Schools" y que hacemos extensiva a toda nuestra comunidad educativa. Entre todos estamos construyendo una escuela cibersegura para nuestros alumnos e hijos. ¡Os esperamos!

On Monday 22 March, at 5 p.m., we will have a new session of the Digital Natives Families Forum. We will have Esmeralda Pizarro Bejar who will train us on the problem of gender violence in social networks. It is an activity included in our Erasmus KA229 Project "Cybersecurity Schools" and that we extend to all our educational community. Together we are building a cybersafe school for our students and children. We are waiting for you!

Mobility with Hungary: Day 3

 DAY 3

We are in the last day of mobility in which we highlight the following activities.

Workshop led by DR Katalin Baracsi about "Cyberbullying and digital health". From the workshop we underline the advice Katalin gave us: "I would like to advise you also at the first point that you feel sorry, feel bad during the situation, ask for help, stop it, block it. And also, it's important that make screenshots...". A highlight of the workshop were the tips that the students collaboratively constructed on a Jamboard.

After the workshop we had a short break after which we did the following activities: Realisation of our good practices and closing of the mobility with participants' reflections and handing over of certificates.

We thank our Hungarian partners for their efforts in virtualising the activities of the programme and for the great success of each of the activities. Mobility with Hungary: Day 2

 DAY TWO

First participants of the second day of mobility.

We started the second day with the Workshop led by Dr. Katalin Baracsi which is entitled "Digital Cocktail: Apps, videogames and influencers". The session starts with a brainstorming session using the Mentimeter web app. We all have to write down our favourite word from the Internet. The application highlights those that have a higher frequency and therefore are common to the participants. Some of these were: like, share, wifi, communication, etc.

In the next activity Dr. Baracsi initiated a discussion to analyse which Social Network was the most popular by our students. The most popular one turned out to be Instagram. Some important aspects to highlight are the following:

• On Social Media, such as Instagram, keep your account private and only accept people you know.
• We must take care of the privacy of our data in our daily use when surfing the Internet. Our home address, date of birth or hobbies may seem irrelevant to us, but this is not the case. Our data is gold for all brands.
• Snapchat is currently one of the most popular apps for cyberbullying. 

Instagram is the application most used by our students.

Attila then gave a workshop to introduce and reflect on the very important topic of the digital footprint.

To check what we had learnt we reviewed with a fun Kahoot. These were some of the questions:

You send a personal picture to a friend online which you only want them to see. Is there anything you should consider?

Your friend regrets posting a particular picture and wants to take it down. Is that possible and how would they do that?

How long is your digital footprint visible for?

We congratulate the student Paul Galan from Romania, winner of this activity for his speed and assimilation of the knowledge related to fingerprinting.

Following the programme and related to good practices, we had the opportunity to present Unit 3: a cyberbullying prevention programme. It is based on a story by Begoña Ibarrola entitled "The Club of the Braves". This programme has been initiated in other Spanish schools with scientific evidence of success in improving coexistence. An article of its impact in a Spanish school was given to the partners to read and during the presentation they expressed their satisfaction and agreement to implement this good practice in our schools in the coming months.

The initial activity consists of reading the story or watching the video that Eva Moriel and Valeria Almodóvar recorded for us.

All good practice materials will be hosted on the corresponding page of the TwinSpace. This will be the space where each centre will upload its evidence of programme implementation. For dissemination we will use everything we have at our disposal.

The last part of the morning was to evaluate the day and give feedback to our partners. For the Spanish team it has been a very fruitful morning and we thank you for the high quality of the activities carried out. We are very proud of the great achievement and performance of our students and we will see you tomorrow at the closing ceremony!

Mobility with Hungary: Day 1

 DAY ONE

Today we had our first mobility day with our Hungarian partners. We have dressed the library with all the flags of the partners participating in our project.

We have given our students their accreditations and project bags. In this link you can access all the photos of this moment.

As usual, the first task was to introduce ourselves - we were delighted with the presentation of our host partners in Makó!

It was very emotional to see all our colleagues at the videoconference.

With a video we remembered the most important moments of Poland's mobility. It was very exciting!

Our Hungarian partners made use of Google technology to introduce us to the most important sights and monuments of their city in a virtual tour accompanied by presentations led by Attila and his students - it was like being there!

The evaluation of the day was very positive from everyone, thank you very much!
