Gran experiencia tras la movilidad virtual a Turquía- Memorias del primer día

 Los alumnos de 5ºA han participado por vez primera en una movilidad que este curso debido a la Covid-19 ha tenido que ser de manera virtual en todas sus sesiones.

A pesar de no haber podido viajar hasta el país anfitrión, nos quedamos con los aspectos positivos de esta movilidad:

• Mayor número de alumnado ha podido participar en la movilidad pues han sido varios los alumnos de cada uno de los quintos que este año ha estado en este viaje.

• Toda la clase ha podido ver qué estaba pasando en la videollamada y aprender junto con los alumnos participantes.

• A golpe de ratón estábamos en otra realidad y recibíamos muchísima información en solo una mañana.

• Pudimos escuchar música turca en directo y aprender muchas herramientas digitales que podremos poner en práctica en clase.

• Apreciamos todo el trabajo que habían elaborado tanto los anfitriones como todos los coordinadores del proyecto y los maestros participantes, quienes en todo momento estuvieron muy preocupados por salvar las distancias.

• Rápidamente aprendimos a usar el chat para aportar nuestro feedback y responder a las preguntas que nos hacían en inglés.

Todos el alumnado valora enormemente esta experiencia y sueña con poder participar de nuevo de modo presencial, pero en caso de no ser posible, siempre nos quedará la modalidad virtual.

Resilient Activity: Romanian Good Practice

5th grade A students have been working on RESILIENCE importance lately. 

We love music so that's why we have sung a Katy Perry song called 'Resilient'.

En esta entrada tenemos el placer de mostrar el trabajo final de los alumnos. Han sido pósteres que contienen consejos y frases que en nuestro día a día nos pueden ayudar a ser más asertivos en nuestras comunicaciones.

SPANISH VERSION

Constantin, director de la escuela de Galanesti, nos dio la bienvenida de esta forma tan especial en las puertas del Centro Cultural.

Dos niños ataviados con trajes regionales llevaban un dulce típico que se tomaba con sal. ¡Estaba delicioso! En este espacio tuvo lugar ¡nuestra primera foto de equipo! De izquierda a derecha: Rodica, Barbara, Arpad, Ester, Juan Antonio, Aysegul, Maria Luisa, Attila, Klaudia, Ilker, Anna, Ahmet y Constantin.

En el interior del Centro Cultural nos esperaban nuestros alumnos, los alumnos y familias anfitrionas, los profesores y otros miembros de la comunidad educativa. Fueron muy cálidas las palabras de bienvenida que Constantin nos dirigió a todos.

Tras las palabras de bienvenida, los profesores coordinadores de cada país nos presentamos a la comunidad. De izquierda a derecha: Klaudia (Polonia), Barbara (Italia), Attila (Hungría), Aysegul (Turquía), Juan Antonio (España) y Rodica (Rumanía).

Realizamos presentaciones de nuestros países, ciudades y escuelas. En nuestro caso la presentación fue conducida por Juan Antonio, Darío, Diego, María y Rocío. Ester se encargó de hacernos las fotos y vídeos. Gracias a su labor tenemos toda la movilidad narrada en imágenes. Para la realización de la presentación es muy importante resaltar la colaboración de Teacher Lucila Audije, que buscó información actualizada de nuestro país; y Teacher Eva Moriel que nos facilitó imágenes de Mérida del proyecto Adopta un monumento.

Varias actuaciones fueron realizadas, todas ellas espectaculares.

Finalizadas las actuaciones, tuvimos una comida de convivencia en el Centro Cultural e hicimos entrega de los regalos a Constantin y autoridades de Galanesti. Después de comer, los profesores tuvimos nuestra primera reunión para organizar aspectos importantes del proyecto.

Nos sentimos muy bien acogidos. Agradecemos a Rodica y a toda la comunidad educativa por tan bonita bienvenida.

My (real) identity

Hungarian team designed a good practice called "My (real) identity" whose objectives are:

• To teach students their identities.
• To remind students about creating truthful identities.
• To compare online and real identities.

Firstly we watched the following videos of YouTube: Pilar y su celular historias para contar.

We watched the first four videos and encourage our students and blog readers to subscribe to the Pantallas Amigas channel.

After watching the videos we reflected on the following questions:

What do you understand?

Our students said that:

• The mobile phone has good things as well as bad things (distractions).
• We must make good use of technology.
• Before installing an application we must check the permissions.
• We should not give out personal data on the web.
• Thinking before you act.
• Asking an adult to help you install applications.
• Be careful with the photos or videos we upload.

Do you know all these things?

Our students discussed the following topics:

• We have to be careful when we use technology on the street.
• Some apps are unsafe.
• We cannot publish certain photos.
• Excessive use of the cell phone drains its battery.

Which is the most shocking details?

• Fingerprints.
• An application can access very important information from our devices.
• An excessive use of mobile phones can cause us to forget important details about our surroundings (friends).
• Be careful with the pictures we take.

Do you recognize yourself in any part of these videos?

• When we're hooked and we don't know what's going on around us.
• Grant permission for applications.
• When we give out personal data without thinking about the consequences.
• When we install applications that access our personal data, etc.

After these reflections we divided into small groups and the teachers gave us pictures of different people.

The students had to decide which characteristics defined each of these people.

The final product consisted of a description and oral presentation of each character presented below.

We share the presentation containing the good practice so that it can be used by other teachers and students.

The party

Our 6º C students are doing our good practice called "The party". With this good practice we pursue as an objective "To think about the impact our decisions have on our privacy and the privacy of others".

As a warm up activity we propose the reading of the following case:

Carlos has been this weekend in his town parties with his group of friends, also with Andrés, who is a critic person. They had a lot of fun. On Saturday they had a party until dawn and returned home in quite bad conditions, only wishing to catch the bed to rest.

Reviewing Carlos’ mobile photos there are several very funny that he will upload to a known social network. Most of his friends are surprised to see the photos in his profile. Some students, including Andrés, are very upset and have asked Carlos to remove the photos from the social network. He says they're boring mates and they can't stand jokes.

After reading the case, the students reflected on the following questions:

What do you think Carlos should do?

The students responded that Carlos should:

• Remove photo.
• Ask permission before publishing.
• Pixel the faces of friends who do not want to appear.
• Apologize.
• Send photos privately.

Does Andres have reasons to be angry? Is it fair?

Everyone agreed that Andres had reason to be angry because:

• He doesn't like pictures or doesn't want to appear in them.
• Carlos did not ask his permission to upload the photo to the social network.
• He doesn't feel good in that photo.
• That photo could have repercussions on his future working life.
• That image jeopardizes his privacy, security, digital identity...
• He doesn't want moments of his privacy to be public.

How can one respect one’s own privacy of others while showing that they had fun?

The students provided many solutions. Among them:

• Pixel, eliminate, cut faces, use emojis...
• Ask before taking a picture.
• Share stories only with friends who appear in the photo.
• Share photos by safer means such as email.

In large group we divided the class into two groups: Those who support Carlos in his idea of keeping the photos on the social network and those who believe that he should attend to the requests of those who do not believe it.
