Dissemination at the University of Extremadura

On 20th November 2019 we carried out an activity to disseminate our Erasmus project at the University of Extremadura. We dealt with the following aspects:

  • Contextualization of the school.
  • Justification of the project.
  • Motivation.
  • Description of the project.
  • Participating organizations.
  • Project priorities.
  • Themes.
  • Objectives.
  • List of objectives and priorities.
  • Main platforms: eTwinning - Erasmus+.
  • Documentation - Communication.
  • Tasks and responsibilities of the partners.
  • Activities carried out in the centre up to now: Selection criteria of the students who participate in the mobilities; groups - age of the participating students; collaboration of the University of Extremadura.

We explained how we understand the "good practices" in our project and made a simulation of "Technology and us", an activity proposed by our Italian partners. The activity was presented by Gonzalo Almodóvar Moriel, 6th grade student, who dazzled everyone in the room with his presentation.

We thank María del Carmen Galván Malagón for having trusted us and given us the opportunity to present our project to future teachers.

The poster my wall: Positive and negative aspects of technologies

Ouhhh! I'm very happy with my pupils' poster. They are very creatives. Our sessions with Juan Antonio are really interesting.

Good Practice Italy

Today with the 5th grade students, we have carried out the good practice proposed by our Italian partners.

The students of 5º A have carried out a good practice proposed by Italy.

In it they had to organize themselves in groups and think that dangerous situations we can have when we make a selfie.

We have known an extraordinary application for Brainstorming or brainstorming called Mentimeter.

With a key that we facilitate to the students, they must put it in the application and write all the ideas of the group.

It's really great for brainstorming, we immediately had all the group contributions on the screen and were able to discuss them.

The first videoconference with pupils

Our students Darío, María, Rocío and Diego have had their first virtual contact with Paula and Paul from Galanesti (Romania). They talked about their hobbies, tastes, favourite foods... and we talked about our city, Mérida.
We also made ourselves known to some teachers, such as Rodica and Constantin, the Director.

 Congrats!

More US Schools Try Social-Emotional Learning

Free image of Pixabay.
Social Emotional Learning Programs (SEL) teaches children how to manage their emotions. These programmes are aimed at the correct management of emotions in the classroom. Therefore we will be contributing to a good coexistence and reduce the presence of risks such as bullying or cyberbullying.
When students have tools that help them to control their emotions, they become happier because they are able to resolve the day-to-day demands in a more or less satisfactory way. They will be children who have skills to manage frustration and solve  difficulties.
All schools should provide these kind of programmes. In the case of our Erasmus+ Project we are working in these aspects because we want safe pupils in both physical and online environments. For reaching this objective we will develop activities aimed at the acquisition of social skills.
If you want to know more about this aspect, you can read this article here and give your opinion in comments.

Students' Profile - Romania Mobility

Spanish pupils participating in the Romania mobility have prepared worksheets with their personal data. These pupils are:

Darío Martín Moreno

Diego Porrinas Ocampo

María Valle Martínez

Rocío Tamayo Sánchez

These worksheets contain information about their favorite subjects, languages they speak, their favorite hobbies, a description of their families, city and other important aspects about them such as the music they like to listen to or their special meals. During this weekend they have established their first contacts with their fellow hosts and tomorrow we will have an eTwinning online meeting where they will continue to get to know each other. Here some photos of pupils working with their worksheets in our shared file in Google Drive.

E3 Romania activities - November 19

 INTRODUCTION OF ROMANIA

Our teacher Lucila Audije introduced us to Romania with a great presentation made by herself. She talked about places, people, cultural, historical facts and curiosities. Pupils and teachers we enjoy and learn a lot. The activity was made with the three groups of the 6th level of Primary Education.

We invite all our partners and teachers of the school to present Romania to the rest of students and to carry out the activities we propose or an adaptation of them.

We would like to know what activities have been made by the teachers and pupils participating in our Erasmus+ Project. Here you have the link with our proposed activities which contain clear instructions. It would be very interesting to show in this blog our work evidences in the way you consider: photos, videos, podcasts, etc.

Finally, we share Lucila's presentation and we thank you for her hard work.
