A tool for our logo: Canva

Hoy los Cibermentores de 6º C hemos hecho nuestra tercera sesión de Foros y nuestro Proyecto Erasmus Cybersecurity Schools.

• Primero hemos revisado nuestros  Diarios de Aprendizaje para asegurarnos de que lo habíamos completado y habíamos escrito las dudas.                                                                                                
• Luego hemos decidido nuestro logo de grupo:                                      Al final todos  hemos querido que el logo fuera un trabajo cooperativo. Para ello hemos decidido utilizar la herramienta de Canva. La versión final del logo la publicaremos en futuras entradas de este blog.

Hemos descubierto que Canva es  una herramienta cooperativa  pero  asincrónica,  es decir,  que no nos permite trabajar  a todos al mismo tiempo. Pero sí en diferentes tiempos.

Durante la semana haremos una entrada en el foro de eTwinning en relación al COVID 19 y el tema de la Privacidad en las redes. Para ello, hemos recordado las normas cuando participamos en foros.

Normas:

• Ser educados.
• No utilizar un exceso de emojis
• No  escribir todo en mayúsculas.
• No poner nuestros nombres en el mensaje porque somos alumnos registrados en la Plataforma.

Además el teacher nos va a reenviar  los usuarios  de eTwinning y que para más privacidad hará uso de nuestro chat de hangouts que están asociados a nuestras cuentas de Educarex.

La aplicación de Hangout la podemos tener en nuestros dispositivos móviles y es una cuestión privada decidir si queremos que nuestros dispositivos nos avisen de nuevas notificaciones.

Today the  6º C cybermentors celebrated our third session of FND and our project Erasmus "Cybersecurity Schools".

• First of all we reviewed our learning diaries to make sure we completed it and wrote our doubts about the privacy topic.

• Then we designed our group logo in a cooperative work with the tool Canva. We discovered that  Canva  is a cooperative  tool  but, asynchronous. This it means that's do not allows us to work all together in the same time. But we can do in different times.

During the week we will participate in a Forum in TwinSpace. It is very important for us to remember rules when we are writing in this communication activities.

Rules

• Be polite.
• Don't use a lot of emojis.
• Don't write all in capitals letters.
• It's not necessary to write our names because we are registered in eTwinning Platform.

Juan Antonio will resend us our eTwinning users and passwords. He will do it through the private chat in Hangout in order to guarantee the privacy of our personal information. This service is associated with our Educarex accounts.

Hangout can be installed in our devices and it is a matter of privacy to decide if the notifications sound or not.

Secure tools for our project: Gmail and Drive

In 5th level we have learnt a lot of things about Google Drive.

• Gmail: We remembered how to write an email and we learnt to attach photos or videos to our emails. If the video has a long duration it is not convenient to use this service and it is better to send it through Google Drive with a link.

• Drive: We learnt that it is a very useful Google tool because you can have organized all your documents in a same virtual place. Besides you can work collaborative with other colleagues or classmates. Our task is to send an email to Marcelino and Juan Antonio in which we greet them and attach a file.
• With the help of Sofía, we entered in her google drive and learnt to configure her unit. In "Shared Units" Marcelino has shared with us the files of Language, English, Science and Maths. Inside each file we have another one with our name. From now on we will upload all our tasks to the corresponding file. Our task is to configure our space on Google Drive.
• Online classes: In the next online class we will receive a link in our own emails to enter in the video conference. In this way we will not be necessary to use families' accounts.

All these learnings will be very useful for our future as a cybermentor students and citizens.

En la clase de 5º hemos aprendido muchas cosas sobre Google Drive:

• Gmail: Recordamos cómo escribir un correo electrónico y aprendimos a adjuntar fotos o videos a nuestros correos electrónicos. Si el video tiene una larga duración no es conveniente utilizar este servicio y es mejor enviarlo a través de Google Drive con un enlace. Nuestra tarea es enviar un correo a Marcelino y Juan Antonio en el que los saludemos y adjuntemos un archivo de prueba.
• Drive: Aprendimos que es una herramienta muy útil de Google porque puedes tener organizados todos tus documentos en un mismo lugar virtual. Además puedes trabajar en colaboración con otros profesores o compañeros de clase.
• Con la ayuda de Sofía, entramos en su Google Drive y aprendimos a configurar su unidad. En "Unidades compartidas" Marcelino ha compartido con nosotros las carpetas de Lenguaje, Inglés, Ciencias y Matemáticas. Dentro de cada carpeta tenemos otra con nuestro nombre. A partir de ahora subiremos todas nuestras tareas al lugar correspondiente. Nuestra tarea consiste en configurar nuestro espacio en Google Drive.
• Clases online: En la próxima clase online (miércoles que viene) recibiremos un enlace en nuestros propios correos electrónicos para entrar en la videoconferencia. De esta manera no será necesario utilizar las cuentas de las familias.

Todos estos aprendizajes serán muy útiles para nuestro futuro como alumnos cibermentores, estudiantes y ciudadanos.

Tasks Checklist

According to our application we have to carry out the following activities during the months of May and June. We will have to do some modifications due to COVID 19. Coordinator teachers will inform their respective school communities of all important changes and decisions taken about this project. We appreciate all the involvement and effort made during these hard months of work. Thank you!

Cyber Fake News

With the name "Cyber Fake News" we started our class with Cybermentor Students in 6º B. In previous weeks Gonzalo Almodóvar has designed an advertisement that says the following:

"If you want to know everything about our topic, follow us on our blog, where you can find all the steps to be a good citizen in the Network"

Gonzalo Almodóvar has published tips in order to identify Fake News among WhatsApp messages, one of the most common media for propagating this type of content. This is his first tip: If you are not sure...

Pacomio Gómez has been working about how WhatsApp combats Fake News. We invite you to read his post in the forum.

Sara Barrero has look for information about tools and measures to identify Fake News. Here you have some of them:

During the class pupils have learnt how to use translators; look for free images in Pixabay, download them in their computers, upload to our file in TwinSpace and insert them in the post.

United for online security in the Internet

Hoy los cibermentores de 6º C hemos hecho nuestra segunda sesión de Foros Nativos y nuestro querido Erasmus KA229 "Cybersecurity Schools".

Hemos hecho un kahoot para poner a prueba lo que sabemos. Os invitamos a realizarlo para que comprobéis cuánto sabéis de este tema. Ha salido bastante bien:

• En la primera pregunta tuvimos que decir si la identidad digital es la información sobre una persona que encontramos en Internet. Era verdadero y 3 personas acertaron.
• En la segunda teníamos que responder a la pregunta: ¿Qué es  menos importante para tu reputación online?La respuesta era: Lo que hago cuando estoy con mis amigos. Nadie acertó. En esta pregunta aprendimos que hay varias formas de configurar tu cuenta en redes sociales. Por ejemplo cuando un amigo te etiqueta le podemos dar el visto bueno si queremos o no que salga en nuestra biografía.
• En la tercera teníamos que decir si la frase era verdadera o falsa: La identidad digital se caracteriza por su perdurabilidad. Era verdadera, 3 personas acertaron. Todavía no somos conscientes de la repercusión que puede tener para nuestro futuro las fotos o vídeos que subamos hoy a cualquier red social.
• En la cuarta pregunta teníamos que señalar la opción incorrecta: No es sencillo configurar las condiciones de uso de cualquier red social. Cuatro persona acertaron.
• En la quinta pregunta teníamos que decir si la frase era verdadera o falsa: Una aplicación que me bajé y he dado permiso para usar red social puede afectar a mi privacidad. Era verdadera y 5 personas acertaron.
• En la sexta pregunta consistía en elegir que podía crear fallo en la red social. Ahí hubo duda y por eso decidimos dar todas las respuestas por buenas.
• En la séptima pregunta teníamos que elegir la respuesta falsa en relación al control de la identidad. Aprendimos que asumimos muchos riesgos si publicamos fotos todos los días sobre cualquier tema. Cuatro personas acertaron.
• En la última pregunta teníamos que decir si era verdadero o falso que las redes sociales deben configurar los perfiles de sus usuarios para mejorar su privacidad. Era falso. Han acertado siete personas. Todos tenemos una gran responsabilidad a la hora de configurar cada uno de los servicios que utilicemos.

Hoy también hemos aprendido a guardar los archivos del Drive en carpetas. Como buena medida de cuidar nuestra privacidad en una sala online cuando vayamos a compartir la pantalla hay que quitar todo lo que no queramos que nadie vea.

Today the 6º C Cybermentors have participated in our second session of Native Forums and the Erasmus Project: Cybersecurity Schools. 

We have played with kahoot to test what we know about Privacy, online identity and reputation. We invite you to play the game in order to know your knowledge about this important issue. It went pretty well.

• In the first question we had to say if the digital identity is the information about a person that we found on the Internet. It was true. Three people got it right.
• In the second one we had to answer the question: What is less important for your online reputation? The answer was: All the things I do when I am with my friends. Nobody got it right. In this question we learned that there are several ways to set up our accounts in social media. For example, approving our labels.
• In the third one we had to say if the following sentence is true or false: Digital identity is characterized by its durability. It was true and 3 people got it right. This is an important aspect that we have to learn due to our age. A nice photo today can provoke bad consequences in the future.
• In the fourth question we had to point out the wrong choice. It was "The language of conditions of use is simple". This is referred to the conditions of privacy when we are configurations our social accounts. Four people got it right.
• In the fifth question we had to say if the phrase "An application that I download and have given permission to use social network can affect my privacy". It was true and five people got it right.
• In the sixth question was to choose what could create failure in the social network. There was doubt so we decided that two answers were correct.
• In the seventh question we had to choose the false answer about the necessity of controlling our identity. It is not convenient to publish photos or videos about any topic everyday. Four people got it right.
• In the last question we had to say whether it was true or false that "social networks should set up their users' profiles to improve our privacy". It was false because is our responsibility. Seven people got it right.

Today we also learned how to save the files on the Drive in folders and to remove private things of our computers when we are sharing our screens.

Seguimos Unidos contra el Ciberacoso

Hoy en esta sesión estamos revisando que cada uno haya hecho lo acordado, estamos decidiendo las nuevas tareas y recibiendo consejos de nuestros profesores.

Ahora os contaré sobre esa actividad que consiste en que cada uno poco a poco haga su parte buscando y resumiendo información sobre su apartado.

In this session we are checking if everyone has done the part that we agreed. Then we decided the new work for this week and we got advice from our teachers.

• Hemos practicado todos.
• Y por último Eva nos ha enseñado cómo guardar y publicar lo que hemos hecho.

This is what we have learnt in the third session:

• We have entered in the blog.
• Our teacher Eva has taught us how to write on the blog with different things: Fonts, underline the letters, insert photos or videos, labelling our posts...
• We have put in practice all our learnings and finally she has taught us how to save our publications. When the teachers correct it everybody will be able to read it.
