PEACE DAY 19/20
Here we propose some topics, web pages and activities that teachers can use for the PEACE DAY having to do with Poland, the city where our next mobility will take place.
The fact that they know deeply about this conflict is the best prevention in order not to repeat it. Because of their importance during the Second War World, the first thing is a video for kids explaining the situation of Europe.
1. SECOND WORLD WAR (CONTEXT).
2. ANA FRANK.
We can work the character of Anna Frank to explain the situation of the Jews in Poland and Germany. We can do a play, a project, watching videos, drawing comics about her.
3. AUSCHWITZ CONCENTRATION CAMP.
Anne Frank was in a concentration camp called Auschwitz in Poland, here you are some information about this place:
We can explain what kind of place is, how it works, how people was treated and that now it is a place to visit and not forget (every teacher choose the level and detail to work this).
4. CINEMA MOVIES AND DIRECTORS FOR PEACE.

We can watch the scene of The Pianist being discovered by a German soldier, playing by Chopin in the piano and how both are able to forget that they are enemies in that fragment of the movie. AN EXAMPLE FOR PEACE!!!

THE SCHINDLER LIST is his movie about a person, OSCAR SCHINDLER that saved thousand of Jews people. In this scene some of the survivors represented in the film, in pairs with the actors and actresses that play their roles in the movie, put a stone on the OSCAR SCHINDLER tomb to simbolized the number of people who was saved by him.
